New year, new you!

I’m very very excited for 2013. Everything about it is going to be great — I just know it. It is now the time to reflect upon last year and all the many blessings it bestowed.

I think most noteworthy was the birth of my third little handsome man, sir Jude Redmund. What a wonderful boy he is already becoming! On the home front, I also adopted our little crazy Cannoli. Graham passed 2nd grade with straight A’s. Thurston turned 2 and is crazy and charming and witty wonderful.

Many, many loyal clients afforded me the opportunity to capture their moments for life. Jowe and Cara (finally!?!?!)were married. I have photographed them at least once a year for the last five years and it was great to see them make their final commitment to one another. Now they just need to have a little girl 😉 One of my nearest and dearest friends welcomed her second sweet-faced son baby Zachary and I was able to photograph him as a newborn as well as for the holidays. I love that family!

I learned many new things this year, including the staging of boudoir photos. That was fun, and I had some great volunteers for that. My business cards even proudly display the best butt shot I’ve ever taken — that isn’t of my little boys’ naked bums!

Thank you to each and every one of you for a stellar 2012 and I look forward to an even better 2013!!!

CONSIDER HELPING YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY

Hello to my tri-county family,

During the holiday season, it is easy to get caught in the hub of the season and forget there are some less fortunate that need our help. Here are two wonderful wonderful causes that will help the elderly and children locally!

Please consider adopting an elderly person or a child (or family of children) to make their holiday wonderful!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month

There are many wonderful and deserving charitable causes, but few are quite near and dear to my heart.  Breast cancer strikes more and more women — mothers, grandmothers, sisters, aunts are lost to this tragic disease every day.  My own great-grandmother and grandmother suffered through, and were lucky survivors.  For the entire month of October: any photo sessions, portrait sessions, events or weddings booked, I will donate a portion of the proceeds (at least 10%, but will increase if I see fit!) to breast cancer research.  Take advantage of contributing to a wonderfully generous cause by booking your session or events without delay!
